American Biophysics Corporation offers two models of the Mosquito Magnet™. Here at Sudbury Taylor Rental we rent the smaller of the two units, which will control mosquitoes and other biting insects for about 3/4 of an acre. The units work because of the patented Counterflow Technology, which enables the Mosquito MagnetTM to emit a plume of carbon dioxide, heat, and moisture, while simultaneously vacuuming the biting insects into a net where they dehydrate and die within 24 hours. No electric killing grid or pesticides are used. The Mosquito MagnetTM is powered by a 20-lb propane tank which allows placement near breeding areas so the biting insects can be trapped at their source before they can get to and bite you and your guests. The Mosquito MagnetTM is best suited for long-term and permanent use applications. It can be used for outdoor parties, although it takes about 6 weeks to eliminate the biting insects, even 1 week is generally considered more effective than any other means of killing biting insects. 3 Week Rental is $102.00 which includes a full 20lb propane tank, 1 octenol pellet, and 1 bug net.
